May is National Bike Month, and the City of Coronado's Bicycle Advisory Committee has planned a bicycle ride around Coronado with Mayor Casey Tanaka for Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m.

The ride will start from Spreckels Park at the corner of Sixth and Orange and proceed north on Orange Avenue to Centennial Park. From Centennial Park, the group will take the proposed Coronado Bicycle Committee Perimeter Loop counter-clockwise around the Village taking First Street to Alameda to Sixth to Coronado to Ocean to Glorietta and then under the bridge and to the Coronado Ferry Landing. The complete ride is five to six miles. Bicycle Committee members will point out proposed improvements from the Transportation Master Plan along the route and get feedback from fellow cyclists throughout the ride.
