Coronado High School Class of 2020 Graduation Info

Coronado High School Principal Shane Schmeichel announced on Friday that “CHS is committed to offering an in-person graduation on June 11th to celebrate the Class of 2020.” School officials are closely monitoring guidance from public health officials and will provide logistical details about the ceremony as additional information is made available. There may be community health circumstances which would require the district to cancel or adjust the plans.CHS graduate

If seniors have not yet picked up their cap and gown, they can go to the CHS office via the quad walk up window to pick up their pre-ordered Jostens cap and gown or check out a CHS owned set.

Cap and Gown Graduation Photo and Book/Supplies Dropoff
– June 9 and 10 –

Official cap and gown graduation photos will be taken on June 9 and 10 in the Black Box Theater at the high school. Seniors were emailed information for their personal scheduled appointment time when they will also pick up their diploma and graduation t-shirt. At these appointments seniors should drop off books, calculators and any other CHS supplies. Only the student will be permitted in the theater for the photo, social distancing will be monitored, and all people on the CHS campus are required to wear a face mask.

– June 9 and 10 –

All graduates should go to the beach side of The Del where senior photo yard signs will be on display June 9 and 10 (closing at 6pm on June 10) Families can take photos with their senior beside their sign. *Do not remove the signs from the boardwalk, CHS will provide the signs to the seniors on or after June 11.

Class of 2020 Baccalaureate

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is hosting this year’s CHS Baccalaureate service on Sunday, June 7 at 4 pm via live-stream at https://sacredheartcor.org/worship/live-broadcast/. Student representatives are working with church leadership to create this year’s service. As part of the Coronado Council of Churches, Sacred Heart invites family, friends, and graduates to join this celebratory, interfaith ceremony. Please email senior pictures to [email protected] by May 31 to include in the live-stream slideshow.
