DESCRIPTION:EXHIBIT EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 30!\n\nWe invite you and you
 r children to visit the Dr. Seuss traveling art exhibit on The Del’s
  Windsor Lawn, April 25 – June 30. The exhibit features 5’-8’ br
 onze sculptures that celebrate Dr. Seuss’ (Theodor Geisel) most reco
 gnizable characters and the lessons they continue to impart to childre
 n around the world.\n\nThe Lorax, one of the first environmentally con
 scious characters ever created, continues to inspire new generations o
 f children to accept personal and societal responsibility for the cons
 ervation of our natural resources. Those viewing the sculpture have th
 e opportunity to make a pledge to “go green” in their own personal
  way. The Grinch, Geisel's “alter ego,” offers the wonderful messa
 ge that “…it’s not how you start out that counts. It’s what yo
 u are at the finish.” Yertle the Turtle, a cautionary tale about dem
 ocracy and “doing the right thing,” is as useful a teaching tool t
 oday as it was when penned over 50 years ago. Green Eggs and Ham, the 
 fourth best-selling English language children’s book of all time, wa
 s born out of a $50 wager that Geisel couldn’t write an entertaining
  book using only 50 words. And, the classic The Cat in the Hat, the de
 fining book of Geisel’s career, changed the way that generations of 
 children learned to read.\n\nThe exhibit is free and open to the publi
