La Salsa Coronado
1360 Orange Avenue
619-435-7778

Fresh (and fast) Mexican food right across the street from the Hotel del Coronado.

In 1979 La Salsa first opened as a chain of Mexican “taquerias”. These are neighborhood restaurants where locals and gourmets alike, gather to eat the “specialty of the house” - the soft tacos, which are so much a part of the Mexican culture.

Today, La Salsa owns and operates an expanding chain of quick, casual restaurants specializing in tacos, burritos and other items served in the style of Mexico.

The hallmark of the La Salsa restaurants is the display kitchen and a fresh salsa bar, which allows customers to garnish their food with a wide variety of La Salsa’s “signature” salsas and trimmings.

The chicken taquitos make a great combo. Close to the beach and Hotel del Coronado. But, how come they don't have churros here?
We love La Salsa. Kids love the rice and beans and the fish tacos are tasty. The salsas--and most of the food--is very fresh. A taco platter is just right if you're hungry. Their taco salad and other creations are also wonderful. Hard to go wrong here.
