I came upon your site today, and read about the 150th birthday tribute to John Spreckles, it was wonderful! We all owe him so much! I will always be thankful to my parents for finding their way from Texas via Los Angeles to Coronado in 1937. Tent City was still there when they arrived. As a native of Coronado, who is currently living in Virginia, my heart is and always will be in Coronado. Visiting 2 or 3 times a year is just not enough to keep up with all of the changes! Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for your very helpful information. We have just returned home to NJ after 2 weeks in Southern California. The day we did the "trolley tour" we drove over to Coronado and parked a couple of blocks from the pub where the stop is there. We had an excellent time. The trolley tour was definitely the "way to go." It was fun and easy. Your information was very very helpful to us and we really appreciate the time you took out to inform us. We love Coronado - it's quite a beautiful place - wow!
