part of the bridge ventilation system which was installed many years after the bridge was built.

Back up generator and control room / maintenance shack. The vent stack is for venting diesel fumes.

I think I was told it was part of the ventilation system for controlling the exhaust fumes, but I like troll's house better!

Does Cal Trans know? Might it have something to do with the golf course...since it is so close?

I contacted Caltrans and left a message, hopefully they get back to me soon so we can get this figured out! I'll keep you posted

Yep it's the Troll.. We talk all the time - but never in the daylight - at night...  Luckily he likes me - Sometimes I bring him food, he's partial to the baby back ribs at Lil' Piggies (yum!)
