How are you connected to Coronado?: I'm a visitor that loves Coronado.

What are some things you love about Coronado? Favorite places on the island?: As a long time visitor I have grown to love the people, food, and nature of the island. Just graduating from Cal Poly Pomona this spring, I look forward to working as an intern for eCoronado.com and meeting many of its' members! Along with interning for eCoronado.com, I work at my Uncle's photographic art gallery, Dan McGeorge Gallery, on Orange Avenue.

The Coronado City Council Coronado Planning Commission just shot down Starbuck's request to open a second location at 135 Orange Avenue due to the competition it would create for two "Mom & Pop" businesses near the location. Tartine and Boney's Bayside Market both run successful coffee businesses that are not chains. Plane Crashes into Water in San Diego Bay

A sunny Memorial Day weekend flight ended in a panic as a small single engine plane slammed into the San Diego Bay, narrowly missing a waterfront hotel and shocking onlookers.

The plane, a cessna-152 operated by Aerial Advertising, was flying a banner that read "Honor our Heroes" over the USS Midway aircraft carrier Saturday.

At about 600 feet in the air, the engine shuddered to a stop.
