We love this place! First of all, the decor is fantastic - a successfully inventive use of the space. The inspired entrance creates a welcoming indoor/outdoor feel. I thought the openness and all the windows might feel like a fishbowl once inside.…

How are you connected to Coronado?
I'm a Coronado local.
What are some things you love about Coronado? Favorite places on the island?
I love the view of the world driving in over the bridge. I love our proximity to the city and the beautiful skyline it provides. I love our beach ... soft white sand, dog beach, sunsets, dolphins and the sound of freedom overhead. I love raising my children near generations of family in a small town. I love the sophistication and diversity of our residents. I love that I can ride my bike everywhere. I love that my kids can ride their bikes to school, practice, and friends' homes. I love that we are all connected ... chat with someone long enough and you'll discover at least one person, activity or experience in commom! I love our schools, the leadership team, our incredible teachers, supportive and involved parents and amazing kids!! My favorite places in Coronado are the shops and restaurants along Orange Avenue and at the Ferry landing and Hotel Del, CMS (the middle school), Niedemeyer Field, my front porch, and the family courtyard on San Luis Rey. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this community.
How did you hear about eCoronado.com?

State Budget Update from CSBA (Ca School Boards Assoc):

In what can perhaps be considered the understatement of the year, while line-item vetoing an additional $489 million out of a budget that had already cut billions, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger referred to the budget as “the good, the bad and the ugly.”

The governor managed to eliminate the $156 million deficit in the budget the Legislature sent to him and create a $500 million reserve. This included cutting an extra… Continue
