My newest grand-daughter born on the 10th of July.. I now have 4 grand-daughters in Coronado, and only 3 of my 10 grand-boys live here... London Monroe is Regina Battleson & Billy Price's daughter, and her aunt Rachel Battleson of Print…
When I was in high school (CHS), one of my friends Nancy McClelland (who is on Facebook now) worked there after school when it was the old Bell elephone office. I think she retired from them, many years later! This is a huge improvement to the…
What are some things you love about Coronado? Favorite places on the island?
Living on First Street overlooking San Diego bay day and night is unbelievably fun and exciting! Something is going on all the time from huge ships to small boats and kayaks, seals and Navy seals, dolphins, and birds of every kind! Always interesting people walking by, most with their dogs.... So much fun!
It is a small world indeed ~ I bet we know a lot of the same people in Irvington and in Coronado ~ I worked in Coronado from 1982 until 2001 and lived there from 1991 until we moved to Marco Island FL in 2001 and to Irvington part-time in 2004. My travel agency in Coronado was Travel Services of Coronado at the corner of 6th and Orange... the building is no longer there...
Hi Helen,
If Rachel knew Amy Elhoff, then she probably also knew my daughter Julie Ruettgers because Julie and Amy were in the same grade, same classes, graduated the same year and were very good friends. They recently saw each other in Coronado for Jessica Settle's wedding. Julie is Jessica's best friend and she was a bridesmaid in her wedding. I'll ask Julie if she remembers Rachel. Julie lives and works in Richmond VA now. This is so interesting!! Liliane
I don't know Brad and Angie Stevens personally but they used to live in Kathryn Etchinson's house just a few steps from where we live. Angie works for a travel agency in Kilmarnock (competition... but I now work from home and still cater to a lot of my old clients in Coronado). Brad and Angie now live behind the Dandelion near Jimmie Lee and Edwina Crockett (do you know the Crocketts?)
Candy was one of the niciest people I've ever met. That was said over and over at her service. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone. My sympathy goes to you and Joanie for losing your mom. Candy deserved to live a nice long life like her.
The City nor CALTRANS had selected any alternatives yet. If and when a preferred alternative is selected, the homeowner(s) would be notified. I have a request in to get the locations of possible eminent domain necessary for each of the options. I do not know if the analysisis detailed enough now to ascertain with certainty the properties but I have asked. I will share any information I get with you.
