"Good for you. These homes have a lot of history just because they are here in Coronado. Many were designed and built by famous architects and while they may be outdated a little, they were built at a time when home building was done right. The work…"

How are you connected to Coronado?
I'm a Coronado local.
What are some things you love about Coronado? Favorite places on the island?
I loved hanging out at the beach of course but my greatest memories were going to the movies on Sat. afternoon or Friday / Saturday night with friends from school and watching movies. Mr. Brown would let me in sometimes for free if I didn't have any money. We were poor and didn't have much money and Mr. Brown never once made me feel like I was second class. He was ALWAYS a good friend to me. I miss his friendship.

Anyone that has ever had to sit and write a paper for school or a report for work knows the angst a writer has with each new sentence or a completed project. Tragically, writer's like myself have to have great courage and take a risk with our works. This writing stuff is hard work. And frightening can't begin to describe the feeling I have every time I write. Why? You ask?

Imagine you are starting a new career. It's your first day. You arrive at the office to start your new job and no…

Jeff,  One of my fondest memories of Coronado came as the result of a police officer's actions.  In the 70's my wife and I, with our year old daughter, came over to the island to visit.  I mistakenly missed the stop sign on Pomona where it intersects with Glorietta by the yacht club.  An officer pulled me over.  I had no excuse, other than being unobservant.  He looked at my young daughter and then said "why don't you use the money this ticket would cost you to buy her a new pair of shoes?  Drive safely."  I never forgot it.
