- I first came to Coronado because of a book I was reading, "In Love and War" which was written by the Stockdales. It is an amazing book and I absolutely had to see their house on "A" that Mrs. Stockdale purchased while her husband, Admiral Stockdale, was being held prisoner in Vietnam. I came here and soon after, I stayed. The island has been so incredibly supportive to me and my twin daughters...I appreciate the "family" support greatly. I love the people here, the lifestyle and watching all the kids bike to school everyday. Dig it here.
I hope we never have to leave.
