When I worked there as a camp counselor in the mid '50's for George Griffith, I taught many a bratty celebrity kid how to swim in the old salt water pool while the parents played tennis.

I am a native of nado - living on the east coast now and seeing these pictures brings back a lot of memories of watching the games at the Del courts from time to time... and i am still sad to think they were dug up and destroyed for "progress".

I'm surprised no one mentioned the chicken tortilla casserole. It's soooo good. It was a family recipe and the owner's wife let them try it in the restaurant. It was so popular they made it a regular item.

What a fabulous local resteraunt... Leo is a master on the grill and the home made soups remind me of my Grandmother's recipes. The atmosphere is sooo Coronado, friendly, warm and casual... great menu, great food...truly a one of a kind.

Garage Sales, surfing with my pals, my backhand overhead, the catwalk on the bridge, happy hour at the Boathouse or the Brigantine, driving my Model T, rock music from 1968-74, Orange Avenue Ale, my kids, tuna melts at Stretches, Mayor Casey Tanaka, and the three o'clock rock.
