Veterans’ Day Observance, Nov. 11
The Coronado Council of Churches will hold a brief Veterans’ Day observance on Friday, Nov. 11 at Star Park. Veterans’ Day began as Armistice Day, ending hostilities in World War I. It was set for “the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” in 1918 when Germany signed the document ending the war in Europe.
