Weather forecasters are calling for heavy rain at times over the next few days. To help residents protect against any flooding, the City of Coronado has made sandbags available. They may be picked up at Alameda Boulevard and First Street; at Alameda and Fourth Street; and at North Beach. The sandbags are free to residents.

Will one of our parks or the median be used to commemorate the history of National City? This video is about a proposal to restore a railroad car even though it never ran as scheduled train in Coronado. The railcar was part of the National City & Otay Railway and not part of the Coronado Railroad Company. The twin to this railcar has been restored and is in National City. The issue could be before the City…
