Body of slain sailor recovered in Afghanistan



The Pentagon said Tuesday that coalition forces have found the body of a sailor from Coronado who was killed last week in eastern Afghanistan and identified a second sailor missing in the incident as having San Diego ties.

Brit team’s light touch picked by bridge panel



CORONADO — A British design team’s concept for lighting up the San Diego-Coronado Bridge has been chosen by a special Port of San Diego panel, beating out the two other finalists for the project.

Bus Stops on Orange Avenue

On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, the City Council discussed an item titled, "DIRECTION TO STAFF REGARDING POSSIBLE INVESTIGATION OF BUS STOP CONSOLIDATION ALONG ORANGE AVENUE." City Staff asked the City Council for direction about whether they should continue working with MTS (the group that runs our public buses) to investigate the idea of consolidating the number of bus stops on Orange Avenue.
