Men Will Be Boys

John's favorite holiday is Halloween. I've never seen a grown man enjoy this time of year as much as he does. I've endured over a month of a scruffy mustache and beard he's been growing for his villain costume... thank goodness, he's even at the point of counting down the days until he can shave it off.

Security Zone Off Coronado Goes Live

CORONADO -- A 206-acre security zone designed to protect boaters from flying bullets discharged from Naval Air Station North Island went live Oct. 13.



The fan-shaped area, stretching nearly a mile offshore adjacent to a small arms firing range, received a “naval danger zone” designation from the Army Corps of Engineers on July 7.



The 12-lane pistol and 10-lane rifle range was built in 1958, but was closed by the Navy in 2008, pending establishment of the security zone. The… Continue
