CHS and CSF's "River of Giving" Donor Recognition Mosaic Unveiled

Coronado High School (CHS) students and faculty, members of Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF), and the public gathered today in CHS's quad to reveal the long-awaited donor recognition mosaic project, "River of Giving".

Verizon Wireless Open for Business at 953 Orange Avenue

The Port of San Diego pledges $60m to expand convention center

Despite the vote of support, commissioners made it clear they still had reservations about financial details of the plan.

Watch Fireworks Display Near Hotel del Coronado: November 30th at 6:15pm

Christmas Trees on the Island?

Last Christmas there was a fantastic little Christmas tree lot right behind Bony's Market. It was such a convenient and friendly way to find the perfect tree. Today I drove by the lot to see if it had been converted into the tree lot again and to my dismay saw that the vacant lot has now become overflow parking for the nearby stores. 

 

So here's the questions: Does anybody know of any places on the island this year that will be selling trees???

Skating on thin ice? Season passes for Hotel Del skating increase.

Was shocked to discover our "neighbor" the Hotel del Coronado raised the price of a season pass at the ice skating rink from $70 last year to $150 this year. Whaaat? Clearly a cold shoulder (pun intended) to locals as we are the only ones likely to want a season pass. It's worth the trip over the bridge to the also outdoor "Fantasy on Ice" skating rink for Rady Children's Hospital at Horton Plaza where a season pass for the same period of time (with better hours) is only…
