Bridgeworthy: Cross Two Bridges to See a Padres Game (Photos/Video)

Our son Luke wanted to go to his first Padres game to celebrate his 6th birthday.  Great idea!  He chose a friend to come with us and the family set off to enjoy a game at Petco Park.

When we started to plan the the event, we searched for tickets at both Padres.com and StubHub.com.  Both are trustworthy places to buy your tickets.  The next 'purchase' was finding a way over to…

More On Pebble Beach And Coronado

Yesterday I did a quick check on availability at the No. 1 public course in the country. If you have $495 and a free wish, it looks like April is a good month to play Pebble Beach.

The Daly brothers agreed with my column, but growing up in Coronado, they aren't happy with me. They don't appreciate the fact that I keep promoting their home course, making it more difficult to secure tee times . . .

Famous Muny Coronado Golf Course in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA – I had a little extra time to spare before I was due back at San Diego Airport (which I like a lot, by the way, far less of a madhouse than the forever under construction LAX). So I thought I’d go check out one of America’s great, affordable (and busy) municipal golf courses, Coronado Golf Course.

I wasn’t expecting to get in any holes, just have a sneak peak around and soak in the scene for a few minutes. I love muny atmospheres: the jean shorts, the brownish Top… Continue

Bridgeworthy: La Jolla Seals, Sea Lions and Cave Store Adventure

After a few days of rain last week, the sun emerged and we decided to head over the bridge to visit La Jolla.  It took about 30 minutes to wind our way to our destination and it was worth it.  Enjoy the photo recap and if you get a chance, be sure to set aside a day to explore the beautiful coastline of La Jolla:

La Jolla Children's Pool (however, children and adults may not swim here!)
