Graffiti Art Spotted on Back of 939 Orange Avenue Building

Erich Napolitano, son of Michel Napolitano, recently "tagged" the back of the 939 Orange Avenue building which serves as the offices for Napolitano Real Estate.  Michel shared that his son is moving to Chicago at the end of this month and this was his goodbye project to show his love for Coronado.

Coronado Installs Actor-Artist Daniel Stern’s ‘Handstand’ Sculpture

Dr. Seuss Traveling Art Exhibit Returns to Hotel del Coronado

Coronado, CA – Hotel del Coronado welcomes back the Dr. Seuss traveling art exhibit featuring sculptures of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s most beloved characters, including the Lorax, the Grinch, Yertle the Turtle and the Cat in the Hat. The collection, which is managed (along with the rest of Seuss’ art) by The Chase Group, will be displayed on The Del’s Windsor Lawn through December 31, 2011.

CHS Junior Vanessa Schnurer takes Best of Show Honors



Artists ranging from 3 years to 56 years old competed in the first Black and White Art Show in Imperial Beach, CA. Coronado Artist to Reveal Latest Mosaic at Coronado Golf Course

 

CORONADO — Artwork by mosaic artist Kirsten Green will be unveiled at the Coronado Golf Course at 2 p.m. Monday.



The dedication ceremony will reveal a colorful, glass mosaic depicting three golfers set in front of the Coronado bridge. Albeit a few years late, the piece was commissioned to honor the course’s 50th anniversary.



Coronado Golf Course opened in 1957. The piece was in the works for several years.

Port Commission Approves Artistic Team For Lighting San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge

The Board of Port Commissioners accepted the recommendation of a Public Art selection panel, choosing a team from London to artistically light the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge. Coronado Art Walk Expands to Two Days: September 18 & 19, 2010

My family was biking down the bike path near the Coronado Boathouse and we discovered a wonderful outdoor mural dedicated to "Tent City".
