CHS quarterback Austin Denson threw six touchdown passes to help the Islanders beat top-seeded Mount Miguel and move on to the semi-finals (Div. IV). The Islanders will play the Santana Sultans in Santee this Thursday at 7pm.

Before graduating from Coronado High, senior Tommy Grall sought to add to the Islanders’ storied boys water polo history with a section championship.
Grall accomplished his goal in dramatic fashion by scoring his fifth goal of the game at 51 seconds into sudden-death overtime to lift Coronado past defending champion Bishop’s 9-8 in the Division III final at La Jolla High’s Coggan Pool on Saturday night.

While Eitan Peled led Coronado with four goals, in the end he made the difference on defense in the Division III boys water polo semifinals.
