Meet Marley at PAWS of Coronado, available for adoption
Marley is a male grey/white DSH, 10+ years in age. He and his sister, Maisy were found together in an abandoned crate. They are beautiful cats with lustrous coats and equally bright personalities. They get along with other cats and are even curious about the dogs that walk by their windows. These sweetheart cats must have had families who fell on hard times. It is very clear, they were once loved very much. Sister, Maisy is the boss, while Marley is happy to let her think she's in…

Over the last few weeks, we have been contacted by eCoronado.com members that wanted to remind the community that lice has been found at both schools and businesses here in Coronado. A local salon confirmed that lice has been found on both adults and children which has prompted them to regularly check for lice prior to having their hair technicians start working with a customer. I have two kids at Village Elementary and both had lice within the last six months.
We did an…

Why Limit Happy to an Hour? Happy Hour Bites and Sips Abound in Coronado
Every evening, when I descend the gently curving Coronado Bay Bridge I take in the incredible beauty of the resort town I call home. Everything about it is perfect: the glorious Hotel Del Coronado, pristine beaches, gourmet picnics at summer concerts in the park and early morning walks with our two Newfoundland dogs. These are just a handful of the reasons why John and I savor life in Coronado. When we decide to dine casually, we rarely venture back over the bridge. At least one night…

The Best Places Around: Coronado Dog Beach
One area is Coronado that compares to no other is obviously the beach. People come from far off places in order to visit our soft and sandy shores. What's better than the beach, you might say? I would say the Coronado Dog Beach.
Coronado Dog Beach is located at the very end of the long line of sand we call a coast, otherwise known as "Ocean Boulevard". It stops at a fence, blocking unauthorized personel from accessing the North Island Naval Base.
Coronado Dog Beach is…
