Bike Theft Arrests Update - Remotely Monitored Bicycle Helps Nab Thieves



Three adults have been arrested for bike theft in the past week. On Saturday, September 13, officers arrested two suspects for stealing the PD's remotely monitored bicycle. The men stole the bicycle from Orange Avenue around 11:20 p.m. and placed it into the back of their pick-up truck. Operation Bait Bike...Success! 4 People Arrested for Stealing Bikes -- UPDATED with additional arrest



Four people were arrested early this morning for stealing the PD's bait bike. Officers stopped the suspect's vehicle near Orange Ave. and Adella around 1:15 a.m. and recovered the bait bike and a second stolen bicycle. All four suspects were processed then transported to county jail.

Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Coronado Crash - Rider Arrested for Felony DUI



Last night at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision on SR75 at Cays Blvd. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Cays Blvd. when it was struck by the motorcycle which was traveling northbound on SR75. The motorcyclist was transported to a San Diego area hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Driver ditches truck at Naval Base Coronado entrance, causing a bit of a ruckus



CORONADO, Calif. - The main entrance to Naval Base Coronado was shut down Thursday afternoon when the driver of a pickup truck abandoned the vehicle and then ran into an adjacent neighborhood.




The motorist was a few vehicles back from the main gate of the station when he bolted about 1:30 p.m., authorities said.
