A Kayaking Adventure Courtesy of the New Coronado Boathouse (photos & video)

Over the holiday break, we decided to rent two kayaks from the City of Coronado's brand new Club Room and Boathouse.  It's located at 1985 Strand Way right next to Glorietta Bay Park.  Free parking can be found adjacent to the park on Strand Way.  Our family had a great time and it was incredibly easy to get signed up, fill out the wavers, receive instructions and get into the water.

New Beach Walkway "Paseo del Mar" Now Open in front of Hotel del Coronado (video)

The Paseo del Mar improvements included construction of the walkway along the beach on the ocean side of an existing berm to the west of the Avenida del Sol cul-de-sac. It will match the existing Paseo in place adjacent to the Hotel del Coronado and along the beach to the east of Ocean Boulevard/R.H. Dana Place.



The new walkway is open to pedestrians, bike riders, strollers and dogs (on leash).  Enjoy it!
