'Festival' a Tuneful Treat: Lamb's holiday show boasts a strong company of actors, musicians

Finding refuge in the company of friends old and new, and in the pleasures of turning hardship into harmony.

That’s the story behind “Christmas On My Mind,” this year’s edition of Lamb’s Players Theatre’s annual “Festival of Christmas” tradition.

It’s also, in its own way, the story of Lamb’s itself — of a venerable theater that has had a few difficult years but,…

Life of Pi Movie Review: “After hearing my story, you will believe in God."

The motion picture of Yann Martel’s fantasy adventure novel, Life of Pi, is a captivating tale full of humor, tragedy, and spectacle.  The movie is directed by Ang Lee, the accomplished filmmaker of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain.  While I normally avoid 3D movies because of the “in-your-face” aspect, Life of Pi 3D heightens the experience and places the viewer in the midst of all the action and adventure.

The movie…

Movie Review: " Lincoln" at Vintage Village Theatre

Come to Village Theatre to meet the sixteenth president and those who helped him make history.

Daniel Day Lewis does an amazing job portraying our sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln. He is captivating, funny, and vulnerable. He is so very human.

Opening with a brutal battle field scene, the movie so appropriately shares the words of the…
