Local media personalities and celebrities are gathering together on the Hotel del Coronado's ice skating rink for a one-of-a-kind ice skating competition.

Dr. Seuss Traveling Art Exhibit Returns to Hotel del Coronado

Coronado, CA – Hotel del Coronado welcomes back the Dr. Seuss traveling art exhibit featuring sculptures of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s most beloved characters, including the Lorax, the Grinch, Yertle the Turtle and the Cat in the Hat. The collection, which is managed (along with the rest of Seuss’ art) by The Chase Group, will be displayed on The Del’s Windsor Lawn through December 31, 2011.

Falcons & Hawks Prevent Seagulls 'Attacks' at Hotel del Coronado

Two different eCoronado.com members told us about seeing falcons and hawks on the Hotel del Coronado lawn in order to keep the seagulls (and pigeons) away. We are told that the seagulls near the Del are very aggressive and like to steal your meal when you aren't paying attention.

Historic Coronado, CA

TEDMED's future in Coronado uncertain after sale

Could 2011 be the last year that TEDMED comes to Coronado?

Hotel del Coronado Trying to Restructure Loans Totaling $610 Million

The survival picture for Hotel del Coronado in San Diego looks grim, its owner has alerted the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The venture owning the Hotel del Coronado is working to restructure the debt on the property.

NC Times: Owner of Hotel del Coronado seeks to restructure debt

SAN DIEGO ---- The owner of the landmark Hotel del Coronado is seeking to restructure more than $630 million in debt on the property in yet another sign of growing financial struggles in the hotel industry.

Hotel del Coronado facing loan deadline

Owners of the Hotel del Coronado face a January deadline to retire more than $600 million in debt, but are hoping their lenders will give them time while they await a recovery of the depressed lodging industry.

Coastal Commission clears latest plans for expansion of Hotel del Coronado

Hotel del Coronado will add 144 rooms, among other expansion projects.

Hotel del Coronado is close to wrapping up a long-term expansion plan that would give the 122-year-old Victorian establishment a better chance at competing with today’s more modern resorts.

Group Protests Hotel del Coronado Expansion

The Hotel del Coronado has a plan to add 144 more rooms, but safety concerns and community protest have held up the project. The hotel expansion would involve 144 4-star or better rated rooms and a conference center.
