So just what does NYC have that San Diego doesn’t?

This is getting old.

For the fifth time in the past eight years, San Diego has placed second in a Harris Poll in which people are asked which city they’d like to live in or be near.

New York has topped us yet again. America’s Finest City can’t take a bite out of the Big Apple.

What gives?

New York has Eli Manning. We, thankfully, don’t.

New York has LaDainian Tomlinson. We ... oops, never mind.

New… Continue

Coronado Hygiene & Daycare Homeless Center / Library

Nearly all of my life I have enjoyed going to hour Coronado Library as a place to read and research, a place for our children to learn, yet in recent times I have noticed marked changes that are making my visits less and less enjoyable.…

How are we going to say "2010"?

Newsflash: Tomorrow is the last day of 2009. That means we’re moving into the first new decade of the 2000s. And we have a decision to make.

Say “2009″ outloud. Chances are you’re saying “two thousand and nine.” But if you think about it, that’s weird. Say “1909″ outloud. Memories Of The Hotel Del Coronado

An old picture of the Hotel Del Coronado.

I remember the first time I entered the Hotel Del, I was about seven or eight years old, and we were meeting a friend who was visiting from out of town and staying at the Del. I can remember going over the bridge was magical; it was like entering a whole another world. We went down Orange Avenue, it was late afternoon early evening and there was not too much traffic. We passed by all kinds of shops… Continue

Coronado Through A Teenager's Eyes

A picture I took on one of my first days living in Coronado!

Growing up for anyone is hard. According to Peter Pan it is “extremely difficult”. However, Peter lived in London and we live in Coronado-and personally, I like it here better! We have much nicer weather and it feels much safer here. But anyway you look at it, growing up is hard-especially when you wake up one day and realized you are a teenager. Being a teenager anywhere is a… Continue
