CORONADO — Coronado High School got an $8.5 million pool in late 2006. The “fast and flexible” Olympic-class facility was funded by the school district but was supposed to be operated by a nonprofit foundation.
When that fell through, it meant students had to compete with groups from around the world for access – and they have to pay for pool time.
