Running 200 Miles "Nado Big Deal" for Coronado Team

Coronado is the designated finish line for this year’s Ragnar Race, and some fit and energetic locals will be running as part of a Coronado team.

SDSU, Syracuse Set For Game On Deck Of USS Midway

SAN DIEGO -- An aircraft carrier on San Diego Bay will host a college basketball game on Nov. 9, 2012.

It'll be a different flat top and different teams than last November, when North Carolina beat Michigan State in the Carrier Classic on the USS Carl Vinson, with President Barack Obama watching from courtside.

CBVA Beach Volleyball Tournament - Collegiate Showcase, April 7th

Coronado Skate Park to Host Lurkville Skateboards Demo on March 24, 2012

The skate demo and product toss is being organized by Lurkville! Islander Sports Foundation Funds New Track Equipment for CHS

ISF provides $12,000 in funding to replace track equipment.

     The Islander Sports Foundation Board of Directors approved funding to replace track equipment at Coronado High School. Track equipment for pole vaulting and high jump were installed recently at Neidermeyer Field. The landing pads for both high jump and pole vault at CHS were well beyond useful life and in disrepair. ISF inspected the equipment and made replacement a priority for Spring…

Update: CHS Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Win CIF

Congratulations to the Coronado High School Varsity Boys and Girls soccer teams for making CIF Finals!  Both will challenge Francis Parker on Saturday at 11:00 (Girls) and 1:30 (Boys).  The game will take place at Junipero Serra High School (5156 Santo Rd.) and the game costs $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for kids and seniors.  Good luck to all the players!

CHS Cheer to Compete in 2012 West Coast Championships This Weekend

CHS Cheer is competing in the 2012 West Coast Championships on Saturday 3.3.12 at Universal Studios City Walk. Over 40 schools from more than 6 states will battle it out to take home the biggest hardware.  Our 2012 competition team is made up of 13 varsity girls, 3 JV girls and 4 boys.

Middle School Athletes Celebrate Winter Sports with Banquet

Islander Sports Foundation recently hosted the Winter Sports Banquet for Middle School Sports (MSP). All teams are recognized and one member of each team is awarded the “Character Counts” award for his/her contributions both on and off the field.
