Michigan recently took its seniors to California for a three-day leadership retreat, which culminated with a training session alongside the U.S. Navy SEALs at a base in Coronado, Calif. CORONADO, CA (May 16, 2012) – The City of Coronado has announced the hiring of a new Public Services Director following a search that resulted in more than 120 applications for the job.

 

Matt Little, 42, is set to fill the position left empty when Scott Huth accepted the job of City Manager in Del Mar in November. Coronado officials hired Lauren Wasserman to fill in as Interim Public Services Director until a replacement was found.

Over the last few weeks, we have been contacted by eCoronado.com members that wanted to remind the community that lice has been found at both schools and businesses here in Coronado.  A local salon confirmed that lice has been found on both adults and children which has prompted them to regularly check for lice prior to having their hair technicians start working with a customer.  I have two kids at Village Elementary and both had lice within the last six months.
