Coronado Block Party - Why More Neighborhoods Should "Party"

Our family received a 'block party flyer' last week on our doorstep for a neighborhood get together on Saturday. It was to take place on the 900 block of "I" and everyone within 'shouting distance' was invited. It was a huge success.

Pedestrian Hit On I-5 Ramp To Coronado Bridge

SAN DIEGO -- A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday on an Interstate 5 onramp next to the Coronado Bay Bridge in Logan Heights, police said.

The pedestrian was struck just before 4 p.m. on the Cesar Chavez Parkway onramp to Interstate 5, said Officer Frank Cali of the San Diego Police Department.

Town Hall Recap: Frustrated Coronado residents talk traffic

CORONADO — Before a crowded room in the Coronado library, Mayor Casey Tanaka and other council members listened as frustrated residents vented their dissatisfaction with the city's ongoing traffic woes.

School chiefs average $190,000 in pay

Nado Select GU09 was crowned champions of the Hotspurs Labor Day Tournament Girls Under 9 Silver bracket after defeating the host Hotspurs USA GU9 Red team in the final 2-1. Tom Duryea, of Coronado, Paddles 32 Miles to Victory

Tom Duryea, of Coronado, claimed his third stock division Classic title in 6:14. The loaded stock field included last month’s first and second place Molokai finishers Erick Abbot of Hawaii, and Shane Scoggins of Ventura.
