
Our family received a 'block party flyer' last week on our doorstep for a neighborhood get together on Saturday. It was to take place on the 900 block of "I" and everyone within 'shouting distance' was invited. It was a huge success.

SAN DIEGO -- A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday on an Interstate 5 onramp next to the Coronado Bay Bridge in Logan Heights, police said.
The pedestrian was struck just before 4 p.m. on the Cesar Chavez Parkway onramp to Interstate 5, said Officer Frank Cali of the San Diego Police Department.

Nado Select GU09 was crowned champions of the Hotspurs Labor Day Tournament Girls Under 9 Silver bracket after defeating the host Hotspurs USA GU9 Red team in the final 2-1.
