Post from City of Coronado:
Look for the NEW Coronado Club Room and Boathouse to open its doors this fall. The 4,900-square-foot LEED silver-certified facility features scenic views of Glorietta Bay and is the new home for Coronado's non-motorized watercraft activities. The facility includes boat storage, a multi-purpose club room, a classroom, kitchen, administrative office space, public restrooms and storage. This exciting bay front structure located on the south end of Glorietta Bay Park will feature instructional classes in kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rowing and sculling, outrigger paddling and boating safety. We also expect to be forming club and team rowing activities for teens and adults and will be welcoming any volunteers who would be willing to share their rowing and paddling expertise with our community's youth! Vessels will also be available to rent, and limited space will be available for rent to store personal paddle and rowing vessels.
Also look for day camp, after school and other youth and teen programs coming soon to the Club Room. The Club Room is expected to become the local teen "hot spot" with drop-in activities and special events for middle school and high school aged teens. Whether you are looking for a paddle or rowing class, team or club or you need to store or rent a vessel, Coronado's Boathouse will fill the need. This is your opportunity to begin a new activity or continue with a great workout as you enjoy the beauty of the bay.
Please look for the announcement about our Grand Opening Festival Day this fall. It will be a fun family day filled with stand-up paddling, kayaking, games, music and much more for all ages.

Isn't the Boathouse a restaurant? This seems to be confusing... hmm, maybe they should have come up with another name, especially since both Boathouses are on Strand Way.
Sounds like some cool stuff is going to be happening!
