Help me find my missing "Healing Dog". Last year, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was hospitalized for a week, close to death, from a bad reaction to the chemotherapy. I was released on Mother's Day. That evening, my kids presented me with Frankie, a teeny-weeny puppy. Frankie became my soul dog and nursed me through a year of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He never left my side & often would sit on my shoulder. He then became "Dog Bird". There wasn't anything I did during my day that he wasn't included. Two days before this Mother's Day, Frankie went missing from my front yard. I have been totally devastated ever since as he was like part of my body and certainly my spirit and he to me. Please keep an eye out for him and assist us with his safe return to our home.

Frankie is a Dorkie (part Dachsund and Yorkshire Terrier). He is 1-year-old, male, neutered, and was wearing a blue harness. He is 1-foot long, 8-inches tall, & weighs about 10 pounds. He is black with brown markings and has silver streaks of fur on his head. There is a reward for his safe return & he does need certain medications.

I have enclosed a poster for you to display. I would appreciate it if you would display it until I notify you that we have found Frankie. I made him a promise when he went missing that we will always look for him.

Sincerely,

Kimberley Graham

WILL LOOK ALL THE TIME. EVER TAKE TO DOG BEACH?
Comment by Kimberley Graham on May 21, 2010 at 2:24am
Only took him once. I was overwhelmed by the big dogs for him. He is only a foot long. Plus I was going through chemotherapy at the time & it was a bit much for me as well. I do go down to dog beach at least twice a day looking for him & hand out flyers.

I thank you so much for your willingness to keep an eye out for Frankie Dawg. I am so sad without him & I am sure he is too.

S, Kimberley

I'm sure the local vets have seen your signs -- have you taken any to I.B. or even into San Diego? I hope and pray you are reunited very soon!!!! I know I would be absolutely devastated too!!

Thank you so very much for responding to my Frankie Dog lookout! We have been getting a lot of Imperial Beach sightings & are down there all the time looking. Last sighting was around the Chase Bank across from McDonald's on Palm. If you're down in the area, keep a look out for Frankie Dog! Thank you, Kimberley

Thank you for posting his picture! I will look for him along First Street where I live..I can tell you that lots of pople are looking for him and they are aware of his situation. I have a long haired double dapple male dauchsund, also named "Franky" and I cannot tell you how many people came to check out my three and a half years old AKC dauchsund. My Franky is white with brown patches, but since the name is the same it turns peoples heads. Just keep putting out the word about him, I am praying he will turn up soon!
