Priming the Pump for the Holiday Season With Random Acts of Culture: Sing Hallelujah!

Do yourself a favor and set aside the next 6 minutes to watch the amazing video at the link below:

I've been singing "The Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's "Messiah!" since before I was born . . . I was born in March and my mother sang it with the Choir at Cornell University in December . . . . ;-)

I've sung it at least a hundred times since with various groups for varying degrees of remuneration . . . but I would have PAID serious money to have been part of this experience!

Here's an early wish to all of you for a warm, wonderful and above all safe Holiday Season!

Thanks, Jamie. Brought joyful tears to my eyes and fond memories of singing in the choir and celebrating Christmas in New York City.

How do we get one of these started here in San Diego and where do I sign up? :-D

Thanks, Steve! I was meaning more a Hallelujah Chorus FlashMob. But where would you do it? You'd need to have an organ--or at least some decent sound system--and a large and unsuspecting crowd . . . .

Spreckles Organ Pavilion?

What's the closest thing we have to that huge Macy's atrium in San Diego? Doesn't Nordstrom have something like that in Fashion Valley?

It's a bit late, but you can still sing along tomorrow night in La Jolla:

Of course, I'm working. :-(
