Beach N Diner Closed - Leroy's Lucky Lounge to Open Summer 2011

UPDATE:  Leroy's is open!

Editor's Note:  This message was received from NadoLife.  We are excited for the change and looking forward to bringing you more information about Leroy's Lucky Lounge as it is available.  Stay tuned!

After six successful and fun years, we have closed the doors to Beach N Diner.

We have decided that a change in concept would better fill the potential of 1015 Orange Avenue.

With all of our restaurants, we have tried to bring something new and exciting to Coronado. Leroy’s Lucky Lounge will be no exception. With the addition of a liquor license and a planned opening in March Summer 2011, we will specialize in Urban Eclectic Food from sustainable natural sources as well as Cocktails and Craft beers from around the world! Leroy’s Lucky Lounge is about great food – without being expensive or fancy -- made with passion and the freshest ingredients for the most prominent flavor paired with “stiff” drinks and good wine! Our menu is intended to be exciting, unexpected and most of all fresh and flavorful. Overall, we hope to provide a place for our guests to relax and dine in good company.

We are excited for this opportunity to reinvent ourselves and thank our community for their support during this change.

@Peggy -- Yes, gift cards isued by NadoLife will be valid at Leroy's!  You can also use it at Village Pizzeria, VP Bayside, MooTime, and Lil' Piggy's.

@Lissa -- We are currently looking into weekend brunch options for Leroy's ... stay tuned!  In the meantime, I'll try to dig up the California Benedict recipe for you :)

Can't tell you how disappointed I am that you closed the Beach-n-Diner, and from the general tone of these comments I'm not alone.  It was a family favorite with the outdoor tables and fun family atmosphere.  We never missed at least one meal there every time we visited Coronado and told all our friends about it as well.  I understand the trend to go for all those buzz words - "healthy", "fresh" and "organic".  After all, it is California!  Serving alcohol can't be bad for revenue as well!  But, believe it or not, there are a lot of us who, especially when we are on vacation with the kids, love good old comfort food, i.e. a juicy burger and a Coke.  The creamery right next door made it even better.  That's just as much a part of California and a beach lifestyle as anything.  Wish you had another location to re-open the Diner.  It will be sorely missed!
