Forbes Ranks Coronado in the Top 10: Prettiest Neighborhoods List

...and for beach lovers, nothing beats a trip to one of the West Coast’s most prized beach communities (located as far south as you can get without hitting Mexico). Coronado Island, separated from San Diego by a bridge over the bay, is a perfect warm weather destination, with ice cream shops, seafood restaurants, a set of stunningly beautiful beaches, and a historic Victorian-era hotel that makes the area a special summertime treat.

Bay beach community, the wetlands preserve is unparalleled, Friendship Park is mighty important, and I just hate inaccurate reporting - from Forbes, no less!

Comment by Ken Pecus on September 29, 2011 at 1:22pm: #s 1-7 are nice but from what I can tell, you'd be hard pressed to enjoy the beauty of them all year round. Snow is nice and all but 0 degrees in January with a biting wind takes a little charm off those pretty neighborhoods! I'm thinking Coronado should have moved up into Top 5 simply because it is pretty and can be enjoyed all year. (As opposed to burried under 10 feet of snow)
