Coronado Summer Concert In-The-Park Schedule

Coronado Summer Concerts in Spreckels Park - Located at the corner of 6th Street and Orange Avenue.

Come on down to Spreckels Park for the best summer concert series around. Bring family, friends and food as you enjoy a wonderful night of music in the heart of Coronado. Adults and kids alike will dance, laugh, break bread and most of all listen to great music in one of our favorite parks on the island. Get a good spot for your blanket, chairs or wagon and arrive 30-45 minutes before the start time. Please note, no dogs are allowed.  For more information on booking a band or contacting the official organization, click here.

Be sure to share this event page with your friends and perhaps you can even put together a pot-luck meetup at the concert.  This is truly one of the best attractions on Coronado - don't miss it!

I love the music in the park and attend as much as I can.  I was really bummed out by the first concert on Memorial Day Weekend.  I'm not sure who the new guy was that is now running the show but he didn't come off very nicely.  He started out by telling everyone the new rules.  First, they were going to crack down on parking.  He said that they already ticketed one guy but "unfortunately he moved his car just before the tow truck arrived".  Really, you want to tow one of your neighbors???

Then he proceeded to say that they "weren't going to have anymore of these kids selling their lemonade and cookies" because they are taking away from local businesses.  Really, the kid selling cookies for 25 cents is going to put the local bakery out of business.  I love the kid that was there every week selling his cookies with the sign on his basket that read "cookies 25 cents, 2 for 50 cents.  Can he be anymore cute?  Now you are going to as you said, have him "removed".

It's guys like this that take the fun out of a wonderful family event.

The Concert Committee is looking for Coronado high school students to volunteer at this summer's concerts.  If you know of a high school student looking for volunteer hours, please contact me at drkebow@cox.net.  They will receive a letter of appreciation and acknowledgement of their hours at the end of the summer!
