Missing since 12/24- husky mix dog

Our dog, Shakira, ran off from Pomona Ave. on 12/24. She was spotted on the North Island base on 12/25 and 26th but no news since then. We are from the bay area and were in Coronado for a family visit- we have now returned home.

We reported her to Animal Control, the military police, and posted flyers around town.

My mom lives in Coronado and could keep the dog until we can get back to pick her up, if she is found.

She is a skittish dog but may answer to "kiki" or "treat". Also, she lives with an 11-year old girl and a yellow lab so may follow a family with a young girl and/or dog.

We dearly love this dog and miss her so much so are really hoping she turns up somewhere on the island.

Comment by PAWS of Coronado on January 2, 2012 at 4:51pm: Hi Kim, So sorry to hear this news. You guys have done a great job of putting up signage everywhere and we are all keeping an eye out! We haven't seen her yet at the Animal Control Facility, but hopefully she will cross someones path soon!

(@Alicia, at the top of the post is a small link "kiki.JPG" if you click that you will see a post, but I agree if Kim could add the actual photo it would get the best exposure!)

I tried to post a picture of her- not sure how to do this. There is a "kiki.jpg" link at the top of the page and when I click that, I see her picture.
