We just heard the unfortunate news that Bino's Bistro and Winebar will be closing next Saturday, March 31st, 2012. We will be adding more details as the story develops.
Owners Bino and Roswitha Sanchez have not been available for comment, but we did hear that they are planning to keep the business going - off island in the Hillcrest area. Bino's website has already gone off-line...
Get your crepes while you can.

Comment by Melissa Darabian on March 23, 2012 at 4:19pm Oh gosh...I'm sad! where will I get amazing crepes when my mother in law isn't in town now????
Comment by Lynnda Shepherd on March 23, 2012 at 5:03pm They should move to Bonita.. We moved off of Coronado a few months ago and we have Mexican galore here.. but we need variety! We miss Coronado and the fabulous choices of places to go just a few blocks away! Sorry to hear they are leaving.. but they are welcome here!
Comment by Brian Smith on March 23, 2012 at 5:34pm very sad, I took my 14 yr old daughter for breakfast here this morning, her favorite on the island. I hate seeing these mom and pop businesses leave the island. We need to patronize these businesses. They are some of what makes Coronado unique.
Comment by T W on March 23, 2012 at 5:36pm We always eat at Bino's. Best crepes ever!
Comment by Jo Anne Antrim on March 24, 2012 at 10:55am I'm so sorry to see Bino's leave. Their food is wonderful as is the service. It's important to support our local busnesses. We need them in Coronado. I sure wish we could change their mind and maybe offer a little help?
Comment by Bruce Johnson on March 24, 2012 at 10:56am Another Coronado treasure gone...
This is very sad news. I went in yesterday and spoke with the owner who told me that they decided not to renew their lease. However, they will be opening a new Bino's in Hillcrest!
we love bino's and are very sad to loose that cozy sidewalk cafe. there is such a good feeling there and the food never fails to please the palate. Best of luck to you in Hillcrest.
Comment by Candace Tyler on March 26, 2012 at 3:13pm So Florence, where do we meet for lunch now? Best chicken cobb salad ever and I'm really going to miss it.
Comment by Meridith Metzger on March 26, 2012 at 3:20pm That will be a loss...their Cobb salads were amazing!!!
