This was so cool to peruse. As a Navy wife of nearly 20 years, I can see that lots of things are different ( I would never be seen coming out of the commissary in a dress!) Then there were telegrams and letters. Now we have email, the occasional phone call, and even sometimes, skype. Things that haven't changed is we still spend lots of time with our significant other deployed, moving every 2 or so years and trying to make friends quickly, before we move again. I am proud of my husband and the commitment of service he has made to our country. His commitment is ours, as his family, too!
Lovely. I think this article -- or a similar one -- is on display at the Historical Society.
