Congratulations to CHS Principal Karl Mueller and Assistant Principal Jenny Moore for receiving the Coronado Rotary Club's 2013 Peacemaker Award. 

The nominations stated: "Karl and Jenny work every day to build strong relations among students at Coronado High School instituting such programs as the Human Relations Day,  Respect Week, and Mental Health Awareness Day.  There have been several tragedies that have touched the CHS community in recent years and Karl and Jenny have provided support and solace for grieving students.  Their efforts and leadership have contributed to a more united student body and greater respect amongst student groups."

Mr. Mueller's explanation to the Rotarians about the undertaking to assure that every student at Coronado High School has a faculty connection was duly noted.   

Mr. Mueller and Mrs. Moore  both make a difference in students' lives every day and have built a culture that engenders that ethos throughout the school community.

Mr. Mueller and Mrs. Moore will be recognized at the February 27th Rotary Meeting.  That meeting will also feature a Student Rotarian presenting their "Who Am I" talk including the recognition of a CUSD faculty/staff member.
