It used to be self-service, but now has been replaced by a full-service car wash.  I guess they couldn't make enough money doing it self-service.  There is no other place in town, except your driveway, to do it yourself :(

I have to say...the last couple of times I went onto the base to do the self service version...I ended up spending at least as much as I would have if I had paid to get it done.  Those machines run through quarters pretty quickly these days. :-(

Hello all and thank you for someone finally asking the question i have been thinking for so long. WTF is up with there being a self car wash and vaccum cleaners but unless you come see them when they are open or during their hours you cant use them.  I agree that they probably do a good job for the price they charge( I wouldnt know cause I prefer to clean my own car ) but what if I need or want to vaccum my car out when they are not open and i dont feel like running a super long extension cord all the way from my apt down to the street? Cant they make it quarter friendly? I mean everyone loses. I lose cause I cant get my car clean to take out that special someone and they lose out on the money. Doesnt it makes sense to them to have it operate for them w/out quarters but make it available to people with quarters? I mean at least if the machines cant be used shouldnt they lock up around there? I almost went as far as to turn the machines on one day cause the doors were left wide open to the breaker box. Either way thanks for letting me vent and make those machines 25 cent friendly PLEASE....and THANK YOU, Coronado
