One day after scoring an upset against No. 5 Foothill-Orange County on Friday, No. 12 De La Salle was upset itself, falling, 5-1, to No. 23 Coronado on Saturday in a CIF non-league game at Coronado.
The Islanders held De La Salle scoreless through three quarters and then scored twice on man-up opportunities in the fourth quarter. With the score at 3-1, Coronado senior attackman Kyle Runyan took advantage of a man-up opportunity to make it 4-1 and senior middie Jacob Lujan scored later in the quarter, also on a man-up opportunity, for the final margin.
