Calling All Women - International Women's Day (IWD) is Celebrated on March 8

Did you know that International Women's Day is March 8, 2012?

  Each year around the world, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Thousands of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.  Organizations, governments, charities and women's groups around the world choose different themes each year that reflect global and local women's issues.  

This year's theme is "Connecting Girls and Inspiring Futures".   

In honor of this day, The Gensler Group, here in Coronado is putting together a task force committee to reach out to several Women's shelters in the San Diego area. It is our goal to encourage these women, who are trying desperately to get their lives back on track, by putting together gift baskets with much needed items.
