Carlsbad Firm Receives $39.6 Million Contract to Build New Fitness Center for Coronado Naval Base

Carlsbad-based RQ Construction has been awarded a $39.6 million government contract to build a new fitness center at Coronado Naval Base.

The contract is RQ Construction’s third from the Navy in the past month. The three deals are worth a combined $121 million.

Last week, the company was awarded a $31.7 million contract to fix the heating and air-conditioning systems at a Navy building in San Diego, and last month it won a $49.7 million contract to build a Rotary Aircraft Depot Maintenance Facility at North Island Naval Air Station.
