CMS Students Find Reading Still Fundamental

CORONADO — Coronado middle-schoolers are proving that reading the good ol’ fashioned way is still a pastime.

Students in the school’s newly formalized Book Club have launched a new campaign aimed at engaging the whole campus in reading, even casting a vote and awarding an accolade to the leading author.

The local launch is part of the California Young Reader Medal program, a statewide effort encouraging recreational reading of popular literature among young people.

I love to hear this! I also hope they are reading the selections on paper and not an electronic medium!
