How blessed are we to live in a community filled with fun and caring friends, family, and neighbors?

I can't tell you how impressed I am to see that every time there is a need - numerous Coronado community members jump up to fill it & see if they can help!  This year's annual "Party in Pink" was no exception & was an event to be remembered!

Party in Pink is an annual Zumba event that sponsors the Susan G. Komen for Cure foundation.  This year, Coronado Training Center donated space and opened it's doors to the Coronado community to hold the event.  Less than a week after scheduling the event, a neighbor & friend was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and immediately forced to begin treatment & stop working.  She and her partner, a federal firefighter, want to stay in their Coronado home.  However, treatment, time off work and special dietary needs make this financially difficult.  This year's "Party in Pink" raised funds for TWO great causes!  More than 50 women and men came to support this year's Zumbathon and raised more than $1200 by dancing the night away in one hour of crazy Zumba fun with instructors Darcy Leasure and Shea Hawthorne!

Special Thanks to CoronadoTraining Center for donating the space!

Special Thanks to these local Coronado friends and businesses for donating wonderful raffle prizes :  Stella & Dot's Jenn CorrellBe Styled, Maggie Holland of Which Which,
Jana Monroe of Rose's Salon,  and lots of Zumba treats from Dan Boyle, Shea & Darcy!

Jolie Catrine is pictures with her family at the left side of the picture.  If you would like to donate services or funds, please message Darcy Leasure for additional details!  Thank you so much!
