Coronado Cultural Arts Commission Sends Out a Call for Writers!

Writing can be a hobby or a form of therapy for many. Perhaps you've been secretly working on a book, your memoirs, or you note down thoughts in rhymes. The Coronado Cultural Arts Commission wants you to share your passion for writing!

eCoronado Online Editorial Intern Bianca Valle addresses Coronado Cultural Arts Commission at a recent meeting.

The Coronado Cultural Arts Commission invites our community's writers to the first "Writer's Reading" hosted by the CAC at WineStyles, 928 Orange Avenue, on Tuesday, May 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

CAC Public Relations Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Doug St. Denis, sent this release to eCoronado, "This is an open call for Coronado poets, authors, memoirists and storytellers, published and unpublished, to meet other writers and read a 2-3 minute poem or excerpt of your work in an informal setting."

Of course, a writer's reading needs listeners so "non-writers" are also welcome to join this first informal gathering of Coronado's aspiring literary community.

Admission is free.  For more information, contact Doris Besikof, Visual and Literary Arts Chair, at (619) 575-8317.

For pubilc relations matters concerning the CAC contact Mrs. Doug St. Denis, Film and Public Relations Chair, at dstdenis@san.rr.com  (619) 435-0413.

Let's get writing Coronado!
