Coronado Ferry Landing: More Than Just A Pretty Place And "Greener" Than Ever (Video)

It's one of the prettiest places you can visit and the Port of San Diego and SDG&E are helping The Coronado Ferry Landing stay that way. The center is part of the Port of San Diego's Green Business Network. In the last couple of years, the center has saved quite a bit on its energy and water bills as well as waste that would've reached our landfills. For tourists this is a destination and for locals, services offered here are helping them conserve fuel and preserve the environment. Phoebe Chongchua of Live Fit Magazine talks with the center and a subtenant about its conservation efforts.

The Green Business Network is an integrated energy efficiency and sustainability effort spearheaded by the Port of San Diego and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). Members of the Network -- which include Port tenant restaurants, marinas, hotels and attractions - strive to reduce their environmental impact by taking advantage of free technical assistance, attending monthly training on green business tactics, and sharing best practices with fellow businesses.
