4th of July may be the biggest celebration on Coronado, however, many will argue that Halloween on Coronado is the most entertaining, most creative and sometimes, most scary celebration in all of San Diego.

Here is a list of key events, dates and times that you will want to put on your calendar:

October 26 (Friday): Halloween Happening (3:30pm to 5:30pm) at the Coronado Community Center (carnival games, jumpees, gruesome grub, etc.)

  • 3:30p-4:30p:  Haunted House - less scary for preschoolers
  • 4:30p-5:30p:  Haunted House for everyone
  • 7p-9p:  Extreme Haunted House for 6th grader to adults.  Haunt Dance is open for 6-8th graders.

October 26 (Friday):  Halloween Party at the Coronado Public Library: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. includes a costume contest, a carnival, and a campfire show.

October 31 (Wednesday): Downtown Goes Ghostly:  From 3:30p-5:30p - all of the businesses on Orange Avenue hand out candy and other treats.  The sidewalks are absolutely packed with little kids (most under 12) and their parents as they go business-to-business to collect their goods.
