4th of July may be the biggest celebration on Coronado, however, many will argue that Halloween on Coronado is the most entertaining, most creative and sometimes, most scary celebration in all of San Diego.
Here is a list of key events, dates and times that you will want to put on your calendar:
October 26 (Friday): Halloween Happening (3:30pm to 5:30pm) at the Coronado Community Center (carnival games, jumpees, gruesome grub, etc.)
October 26 (Friday): Halloween Party at the Coronado Public Library: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. includes a costume contest, a carnival, and a campfire show.
October 27th (Saturday): Tricks & Treats for Kids & Pets! More info.
October 31 (Wednesday): Downtown Goes Ghostly: From 3:30p-5:30p - all of the businesses on Orange Avenue hand out candy and other treats. The sidewalks are absolutely packed with little kids (most under 12) and their parents as they go business-to-business to collect their goods.
October 31 (Wednesday): Trick or Treat at the Coronado Retirement Village: 5:30pm-7pm Event details
October 31 (Wednesday): Trick or Treating in Coronado Neighborhoods: From dusk until the candy runs out! For the older kids, visit Margarita Avenue (photo below) for even scarier decorations & special treats.
