Coronado Mystery Photo Contest #3 (Answer: 535 Ocean Blvd)

Thanks to all that played this week. We had an overwhelming response of over 40 people! Was it too easy, or just a great prize everyone wanted? I'm going with a great prize...and the winner of the 2 tickets to the Coronado Home and Garden Show is: Mike Casey. We had many members guess it correctly, and Mike's name was chosen randomly. CONGRATULATIONS Mike. Thanks again to PAWS of Coronado for the generous donation of this wonderful prize. Stay tuned for next weeks mystery photo. Hi, my name is Victoria Freeman and as a photographer here in Coronado I enjoy all the beauty and diversity this island has to offer. I enjoy photographing kids, families and weddings, but I also love architecture and places. Coronado has many interesting architectural and decorative features on it's homes and businesses, so I thought I might be fun to take some pictures and get people out to look around and see if you can find them. So far, it's been quite enjoyable for people, so here's photo # 3. Can you identify where the above mystery photo was taken?

Last weeks image proved to be quite difficult and we had to extend the contest a few days until we finally got a winner. So this week, I've chosen an image that will be a little easier but hopefully still challenging. But we'll have to wait and see. So grab your bikes Coronado and get out there and look around.

I chose this weeks image because of our donating company, PAWS of Coronado. I thought this little lion was a great mascot and he's even holding up a 'paw' to almost say hello. So go find him and say hello back!

Comment by Peggy McCloskey on October 3, 2011 at 9:14am: this is one of two lions guarding the driveway of a house on Ocean Blvd. the house was originally built by an admiral. I don't have the house number. But the house is a light blue and has a trellis portico.
